Cotton Australia attends ag teachers conference

Agriculture teachers gathered at Charles Sturt University’s Wagga Wagga campus this week for a two-day professional development conference, with Cotton Australia’s Education Manager, Jenny Hughes, and Southern NSW Regional Manager, Tom Mannes, in attendance.

The event provided teachers with an opportunity to collaborate, attend workshops, and learn about the latest agricultural research and best practices. Cotton Australia held a stand at the mini-trade expo, showcasing careers in the cotton industry and educational resources.

On the second day, Jenny Hughes moderated a panel discussion on “Growth and Diversity in Food and Fibre Careers,” highlighting the evolving skill sets needed to tackle the national labour shortage.
