Brands Updated at Better Cotton Member Event

Australia’s Better Cotton brand members met in Sydney yesterday to receive updates and provide feedback on a number of key sustainability topics.

Better Cotton’s Senior Membership & Supply Chain Coordinator for Australasia, Vinay Kumar provided information on Better Cotton’s move to certification, traceable Better Cotton, life cycle assessment data and the new on-product label.

Cotton Australia’s Cotton to Market consultant, Brooke Summers updated the group on our history with Better Cotton, what it takes to be a Better Cotton farmer in Australia, the current crop and traceable Better Cotton from Australia which is expected to be available this year.

The brands and retailers were extremely interested in traceability, co-branding, the impact of tariffs and the effects of widespread rain on the cotton crops.
