Cotton industry research featured on ABC Landline

Ground-breaking research underway in the Australian cotton industry has been featured on a national television program.

The research, being conducted by the CSIRO in Canberra, is looking at genetically modifying cotton plants to make it naturally colour its lint.

The research is being led by the CSIRO’s Dr Colleen MacMillan, who told the ABC, “Having the cotton produce its own colour is a game changer.”

The research was featured on this week’s episode of the ABC’s Landline television program.
