Growers advised to heed spray drift advice after recent rain
After months of prolonged dry conditions, some cotton regions received much needed rain over the past week.
However with rain falling at this time of the season, spraying activities may need to be undertaken by growers with crops in the ground.
As a result, growers are encouraged to mitigate the risk of spray drift incidents.
Cotton Australia reminds growers to:
- Use Satacrop to map all of their sensitive crops.
- Read and follow spray label instructions and ensure you are up to date with the APVMA label changes to 2,4-D products.
- Check the conditions before spraying. Do not spray when there is a surface temperature inversion.
