Michelle Hutchinson of Moura was awarded the People's Choice Award at the 2024 Australian Cotton Conference for her photograph ‘Performance ready cotton,’ featuring her daughter Emily. The image, which also won the People Category prize in the Click 24 Photography Competition, resonated deeply with the cotton community.

Michelle expressed her pride in the win, stating, "I am so proud, and I know my daughter Emily is going to be very proud of her achievements for winning this too."

This year’s competition attracted nearly 300 entries from across Australia, showcasing the diverse world of cotton growing. Participants, including growers and their families, shared powerful glimpses into their lives, making the judges' decisions challenging.

Michelle's win, alongside other category winners, highlighted the strong connection between cotton growers and their stories. The Click 24 Photography Competition, launched by Cotton Australia, aimed to empower regional communities by dispelling myths and offering authentic insights into the cotton industry.
