ABC and the Centre for Australia-India Relations Host Landline India Screening
ABC International and the Centre for Australia-India Relations hosted a special screening of Landline episodes filmed in India, showcasing the growing demand for high-quality Australian exports, including cotton, almonds, avocados, and wine.
Following the screening, Landline reporter Kristy O’Brien and executive producer Cathie Schnitzerling led a Q&A session that included John Southwell from Austrade in Mumbai, discussing the program’s insights into Australia-India trade. The event was attended by representatives from the Centre for Australia-India Relations, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay and Chair Nigel Burnett featured in the Landline India series last year as they travelled to India to strengthen trade relationships and explore the possibility of securing an additional quota for Australian cotton under the free trade agreement.
