Supporting future talent at the USyd AgBall
The Cotton Australia sponsored University of Sydney Agricultural Society AgBall on 18 October was a night of celebration, with students and industry supporters coming together.
Jenny Hughes, Education Manager at Cotton Australia, attended the event, marking the second year Cotton Australia has been a silver sponsor.
This ongoing partnership with the university is all about supporting students interested in the cotton industry, ensuring there’s a strong pipeline of future talent. Throughout the year, University of Sydney agricultural students have been involved in the industry, from volunteering at the Cotton Australia education display at the Sydney Royal Easter Show to receiving scholarships for the Australian Cotton Conference.
One student mentioned that her time helping at the Easter Show inspired her to choose cotton for a major assignment, which earned high marks. Cotton Australia’s presence at events like the AgBall highlights our commitment to supporting students and reinforcing the strong connection between education and the cotton industry.
