Join us at the 2025 Brisbane Ekka
Planning is underway for Cotton Australia’s 2025 Ekka display, and we’re once again inviting growers and industry representatives to volunteer a few hours on the stand to help share the story of Australian cotton.
The Ekka is a great opportunity to connect with the public – many of whom are surprised to learn how cotton is grown, or even that it’s a plant and not a fibre from a sheep! Having a real grower on the stand makes all the difference.
Education Manager Jenny Hughes said visitors are always keen to hear directly from farmers.
“This year we’re fortunate to again have a cotton module on site thanks to Darling Downs grower Jamie Grant, and it always draws a crowd. When there’s a grower there to talk to, it really brings the whole display to life.”
The Royal Queensland Show is Queensland’s largest event, attracting around 400,000 people. Ekka 2025 runs from Saturday 9 August to Sunday 17 August.
If you’d like to help out, even just for a couple of hours, contact Jenny at [email protected] or call 0417 405 267.
