Global market expert added to Cotton Collective 2025 line-up
International cotton specialist Joe Nicosia will join the speaker line-up at the 2025 Cotton Collective, bringing a global trade perspective to the event.
Joe is Executive Vice President and Trading Operations Officer of Louis Dreyfus Company LLC and Head of the company’s global Cotton Platform. Based in the United States, he is widely regarded in the cotton industry for his insight into market movements and trade dynamics.
His session ‘Time to Fight Back’ he will explore the state of the global cotton trade, the importance of promoting natural fibres in a synthetic-heavy market, and the potential impact of tariffs on international trade.
The three-day Cotton Collective, to be held in Toowoomba from 5–7 August, features a packed program of information sessions and panels covering a wide range of topics—from global megatrends shaping the cotton industry, to family business success stories, and insights into human behaviour and decision-making on farm.
This year’s Cotton Industry Awards Dinner, to be held at the Empire Theatre on 6 August, is an opportunity to celebrate the excellence within the industry. Winners will be announced across five categories, including the Bayer Grower of the Year and AgriRisk High Achiever of the Year awards. The dinner will also recognise the CRDC Chris Lehmann Young Cotton Achiever, CSD Researcher of the Year, and the recipient of the 2024 Service to Industry Award.
Tickets to the Cotton Collective are selling fast, and only a limited number of seats remain for the Awards Dinner.
