Cotton Education Wrap-Up
It’s been a busy start to June for Cotton Australia’s Education Manager, Jenny Hughes, with several key events focused on engaging students and educators in agriculture and cotton.
At Discover Ag, Cotton Australia was represented by Jenny Hughes and Northern Australia Regional Manager Simone Cameron, connecting with over 500 high school students from Greater Sydney. Together, they showcased cotton and broader agriculture career pathways through hands-on activities. The event, hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, gave students in Years 8–12 the chance to explore more than 50 agricultural career options.
The sold-out Sydney STEM Festival brought together 500 STEM educators who participated in workshops before joining a networking event supported by PIEFA and its members, including Cotton Australia.
At EduTech, Australia’s largest education conference which attracted over 10,000 attendees across two days and featured 350 exhibitions in the trade hall, Cotton Australia’s Jenny Hughes connected with the wider education community to promote agriculture education and cotton career pathways.
