Vegas was the theme of the black-tie event that served as the Macquarie Cotton Growers Association’s annual awards dinner recently at the Rhino Lodge Dubbo.

Around 170 growers traded in their boots and jeans for a more glam look to celebrate the achievements of the 2022-23 crop and to let their hair down.

Collie Hotelier Tom Hancock provided the entertainment, MCing the night and providing plenty of laughs.

The award recipients were:

• Highest Avg Yield –Small Farm (Farm area under 273ha) – Boree Park Pastoral ( Hamblin Family). Sponsored by PRP( Preston Rowe Patterson)
• Highest Avg Yield – Large Farm (Farm area over 273ha)- Whittaker Family. Sponsored by Hutcheon & Pearce

An entertaining edition to the evening was the Casino tables which gave everyone the chance to have a flutter with the 'FunnyMoney' that was handed out at the start of the evening.
