NSW growers encouraged to register for upcoming training

Cotton and grain growers in the Moree and Narrabri regions are encouraged to participate in a new training course.

The three-day course will look at how to identify and manage risk, implement improvement strategies, and effectively promote innovation.

The course is being offered by TAFE NSW and funded through AgSkilled, a New South Wales Government training initiative, led by industry partners Cotton Australia and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC).

The Risk Management and Innovation course will teach participants the skills and knowledge to identify and manage risks. Participants will also learn how to be an effective and proactive member of an innovation team, as well as tactics for monitoring, implementing and reviewing an organisation’s improvement processes.

The course involves two consecutive training days, then a follow-up one-day workshop. Participants must attend all three days.

• TAFE NSW - Narrabri - February 20 and 21, and then March 13.

• TAFE NSW - Moree - February 27 and 28, and then March 20.
