Better Cotton traceability manager visits amid global launch of traceability solution
Only weeks ago, Better Cotton launched its traceability solution, and this week their Senior Traceability Program Manager visited Australia to meet growers and discuss the important issue with Cotton Australia.
Jacky Broomhead and myBMP Manager Rob Crothers visited three Darling Downs myBMP farms and the QLD Cotton Gin at Dalby to see first-hand how Australia currently traces cotton from farm to bale.
Jacky and Rob visited the farm of Cotton Grower of the Year Johannes Roellgen and his daughter Lauren where they examined a cotton crop.
In November the organisation launched its traceability solution as part of its 2030 strategy which plans to make cotton better for the farmers who produce it and for all those who have a stake in the future of the sector.
After her Darling Downs farm visit Jacky flew to Sydney for a meeting with Cotton Australia’s CEO Adam Kay and Cotton to Market’s Brooke Summers.
A Traceability Solution is a key element in the Australian Cotton Industry’s Strategic Roadmap which aims to create alignment between the industry and customer needs.
