Cotton Australia attends Australia-India CEO Forum Agriculture Round Table

Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay recently participated in the Australia-India CEO Forum agriculture round table at the GrainCorp Offices in Sydney. The meeting focused on developing a new economic roadmap for India, with key discussions on what is currently working well in agriculture between Australia and India, strategies to achieve the best gains over the next decade, and how to enhance cooperation with Indian agricultural producers and providers.

Established by the Australian and Indian Prime Ministers, the Australia-India CEO Forum leverages the expertise of leading CEOs to boost bilateral trade and investment. Meeting annually, the forum advises both governments on improving business and investment outcomes through policy changes.

The Australian Government has initiated consultations on a new roadmap for Australia’s Economic Engagement with India, recognising the opportunities for mutual economic growth. This initiative highlights the contributions Australian enterprises can make to India's development.

Cotton Australia continues to assist Government representatives in Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations with India, aiming to secure a larger tariff-free quota for Australian cotton growers.
