Highlighting cotton careers at Tamworth Ag Expo

Cotton Australia's Regional Manager - Northern NSW, Alec Macintosh, recently attended the Biennial Tamworth Agricultural Careers Expo at the Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School's Trade Training Centre. At the event, Cotton Australia showcased the different career pathways in the cotton industry, inspiring secondary students and teachers.

The Expo drew over 1200 attendees from within a 600km radius of Tamworth. Alongside Cotton Australia, exhibitors included universities, colleges, TAFE, and agricultural professionals.

In the days following the expo year 11 agriculture students from Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School visited Breeza Station for their Farm Case Study topic and were fortunate to learn from the Pursehouse Family about their extensive mixed farming system, see cotton being picking and experience the agtech being used on Breeza Station.
