Women in cotton encouraged to apply for ag leadership program
The National Farmers Federation is urging women in cotton to consider applying for the Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Program (DiALP).
Cotton Australia Policy Officer Jennifer Brown took part in the program last year and fully supports it. “It was a way of connecting to a community of professionals in agriculture and sharpening my understanding of new technologies. But more than that, I was able to leverage what I have to offer in other ways, knowing that I now have an ongoing network or people to coach me using their own lived experiences.”
The initiative, now in its 8th year, aims to double the number of women in leadership ranks by 2030 in the ag sector, by helping ambitious women to reach their goals.
Applications open Monday, 24 February and will remain open for one month.
