Roadmap in Motion: The Grower’s Voice Tour
Your insights. Your roadmap. Our future.
This year the leaders of both Cotton Australia and CRDC will tour cotton valleys to seek feedback from growers and industry on a number of topics that together will shape the industry’s future.
Kicking off in Central Queensland on the 28-29 July, the tour will visit most valleys by the end of September, so keep an eye out for the dates in your area.
The Grower’s Voice Tour is your chance to provide feedback on the future of myBMP and traceability, understand how to be data ready and how on-farm carbon strategies can help your bottom line.
These sessions are a critical first step in delivering the Australian Cotton Strategic Roadmap, a plan to ensure we’re prepared for the future in an environment of change – and it’s a chance for growers and industry members to help shape what comes next.
Why the Australian Cotton Strategic Roadmap Matters
- Keeps our cotton competitive and open to premium global markets
- Makes it easier to meet new market rules around things like traceability, sustainability, and data
- Brings the industry together to tackle big issues—so growers don’t have to go it alone
- Helps us adapt to change with the tools and direction needed to stay ahead
- Builds on what we’ve already done, turning past work and investment into real value for growers
What You’ll Hear About
Each session will include short updates on key areas of work happening across the industry followed by feedback sessions on each topic where you can have your say:
- Adam Kay, Cotton Australia CEO – What’s the traceability research telling us, and what’s next
- Allan Williams, CRDC Executive Director – an update on the current myBMP review and what it means for growers
- Brooke Summers, Cotton to Market (Cotton Australia) – why Human Rights are important, and what we’re doing about social compliance
- Meredith Conaty, CRDC General Manager Innovation – critical updates on the industry data platform
Carbon Workshop with Jon Welsh
You’ll also have the chance to take part in a practical carbon workshop led by CottonInfo’s Carbon Technical Lead Jon Welsh, where you’ll hear about:
- How carbon strategies can support your bottom line
- What CRDC is doing to close the knowledge gap
- Real opportunities to make climate-smart farming work on your farm
Come Along and Have Your Say
The roadshow kicks off in Central Queensland in late July, with more stops across NSW and Queensland to follow in late August through to Septembers. Final dates and locations will be shared soon, for more information contact your Cotton Australia Regional Manager or CottonInfo Regional Extension Officer.
If you’re a grower or industry member, this is your chance to hear what’s happening, provide feedback, and help shape the future of the Australian cotton industry.
