NFF Members Council recognises Cotton Australia’s industry leadership

Cotton Australia has been recognised for its leadership on important programs like AgCAREERSTART, Farmsafe, and its R&D guidance with the Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC) in a key meeting of agricultural leaders in Canberra.

The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) Members Council was held in Canberra last week and Cotton Australia was represented by Chair Nigel Burnett and CEO Adam Kay.

This meeting marked the final council session for NFF CEO Tony Mahar, with Cotton Australia thanking him for his leadership over the past eight years.

During the meeting CA and other member organisations reported similar challenges across agriculture, with issues like paraquat, water, and labour being common.

Cotton Australia also attended the Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Program graduation dinner, where NFF President Fiona Simson thanked Cotton Australia for its support since the program began in 2018.
