Dirranbandi hosts its biggest cotton field day

More than 300 people travelled to Dirranbandi in Western Queensland this week for the Bayer Grower of the Year Field Day.

It was one of the largest agricultural events ever held in the region, attracting cotton industry participants keen to learn from the 2024 award recipient Scott Balsillie, farm manager for Eastern Australia Agriculture in Dirranbandi.

One of the most pleasing factors for organisers, was the large number of younger generations, keen to learn and play their own part in the future of the Australian cotton industry.
