Queensland Farm Business Resilience Plan Workshops
Cotton Australia and BDO, with the financial assistance of the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and Queensland Government’s Drought and Climate Adaptation Program (DCAP) Program through QFF are proud to be hosting online workshops to assist primary producers with completing their Farm Business Resilience Plans.
Dates and times for the four one-hour online workshops:
- Wednesday 5th June 2024 – 12.30pm to 1.30pm – Part 1
- Thursday 6th June 2024 – 12.30pm to 1.30pm – Part 2
- Wednesday 12th June 2024 – 12.30pm to 1.30pm – Part 3
- Thursday 13th June 2024 – 12.30pm to 1.30pm – Part 4
At the end of the four-part workshop, you have completed a self-assessed risk checklist, worked through the Farm Business Resilience Plan (partially completed) and Plan on a Page.
From this point you will be able to request BDO to complete a full business plan (with financial assistance from the program) or complete it yourself.
Once a fully compliant Farm Business Resilience Plan is completed, you may apply for the QRIDA - Drought Preparedness Grants, maximum grant of $50,000 (total project expenditure $200,000) to implement aspects of your plan that will allow your business to better perform during the next drought. While there are many eligible activities, as a general rule, for irrigation farmers, projects that improve the efficiency of your irrigation are likely to succeed.
