Cotton Australia updates QLD Labour MP’s on Cotton Season

Key policies issues impacting growers were on top of the agenda for a recent dinner for the Queensland Opposition hosted by Chair of the Cotton Australia Board Nigel Burnett and CEO Adam Kay.

Shadow Ministers for Trade Grace Grace, Primary Industries and Rural Development - Tom Smith, Water - Nikki Boyd, Police – Glenn Butcher, and Energy - Lance McCallum, were among the guests, along with senior advisors.

The Chair spoke about the issues impacting growers and the policies and advocacy role that Coton Australia delivers on behalf of growers.

The evening was a success and described by attendees as warm and informal with new relationships developed and established connections strengthened. Follow-up meetings on specific policy issues are now being planned.
