Stop the Bleed® Webinar – Practical Emergency Response Skills
Severe bleeding emergencies can happen anywhere, and in rural and remote areas it can take longer for medical help to arrive. In those situations, the first few minutes can make a real difference.
The Jamieson Trauma Institute will run a Stop the Bleed® webinar on Wednesday 1 July, focused on simple, practical skills people can use to respond quickly in an emergency before paramedics arrive.
Stop the Bleed® was developed to help everyday people feel confident to act in serious bleeding situations, including accidents that can happen on farms and on the road in regional communities.
Cotton Australia has partnered with the Jamieson Trauma Institute to support the Stop the Bleed® program as part of its Here for Good projects, following the Institute’s involvement as the preferred charity at the 2025 Cotton Collective. The three-year partnership means the program will be able to provide ongoing training and awareness opportunities across the cotton industry, helping build practical skills and confidence to respond in serious bleeding emergencies.
The session will walk through how the program works in practice and what training and resources are available.
