Science students tuning into possible cotton careers.
Cotton Australia’s Education Manager Jenny Hughes has opened up the possibilities of a career in the Australian cotton industry for science students at Sydney University.
Jenny recently attended the Science Careers Networking Evening at Sydney university attended by over 200 students enrolled in Undergraduate, Postgraduate Coursework and Higher Degree Research in the Faculty of Science.
The event showcased the vast array of industries and organisations that hire Science students and gave Cotton Australia the chance to put our industry on the radar.
Jenny said the evening helped Science students understand that there is a demand for graduates with STEM skills, and there are so many career pathways they can take.
Cotton Australia was joined by Australian Eggs and Hort Innovation to demonstrate just some of the variety of opportunities in agriculture.
