Northern Australia Manager selected for 2026 Women on Ag Boards Program

Our Northern Australia Manager, Simone Cameron, has been accepted to participate in the Australian Women in Agriculture (AWiA) Women on Ag Boards Program 2026.

Simone was selected from a strong field of around 70 applicants to complete the Tier 1, Board Ready Program. The 12-month program commenced this week and covers topics such as governance, legal duties, case studies, building influence at the board table and identifying future opportunities.

The guest presenter of the first webinar was founder of the AWiA, Cathy McGowan, who shared insights into her career and journey in agriculture and politics, speaking openly about her vision and purpose.

This AWiA project is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) and AgriFutures. AWiA was founded in 1992 and established in 1994 as a non-for-profit incorporated organisation, the peak organisation for women across all areas of agriculture.
