Australian Cotton on stage at World Expo in Osaka
Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay recently represented the Australian cotton industry at the World Expo in Osaka, a major international event held every five years.
At the Expo, Adam presented at a Australian Natural Fibre Day and chaired a panel session with the President of Makers Shirt Kamakura and the General Manager of Style M Takisada—both long-time users of Australian cotton. The panel highlighted their positive experiences with Australian cotton and reinforced the fibre’s quality and reliability.
Over 80 Japanese brands and retailers attended the function at the Australian stand at the Expo, which featured presentations from Cotton Australia and the Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) team. The Australian cotton story resonated strongly with attendees, strengthening relationships with international brands and reinforcing the industry’s reputation for high-quality fibre.
The visit and event were arranged and funded by Austrade, whose support helped secure strong attendance and engagement from Japanese brand and retail representatives.
