  • Cotton under biodegradable film research progresses in Emerald

    Six representatives of Theodore’s cotton industry travelled to Emerald at the end of October to discover opportunities for extending the region’s cotton season by growing cotton under biodegradable plastic. The trip, made possible with support from Cotton Australia, enabled first-hand viewing of trial cotton plots grown using custom-made pre-slotted film, developed especially for use on cotton. The plots illustrated the different growth rates between cotton sown in August and cotton sown in September 2014. Read more »
