Plant Health Australia visits Moree

Plant Health Australia (PHA) leads the coordinated response to plant pest and disease incursions. The PHA Board recently took a day out from meetings to head to the field, see cotton operations for themselves and discuss biosecurity issues.

Researchers Paul Grundy and Karen Kirkby discussed industry R&D and extension, and B&W Rural demonstrated how drones can be used for biosecurity purposes.

Special thanks to Sean Boland and Ray Fox for their hospitality and knowledge, and assistance in coordinating the visit to Auscott Midkin and AFF at ‘Red Mill’.
