Global not-for-profit organisation the Textile Exchange provides advice to the world’s major brands and retailers about which fibres have the least impact on the environment.

For the first time, Australia’s myBMP program has been included in the Preferred Fibre & Materials Market Report 2017, including a case study on the program’s success.

“Many of our ultimate customers use this report to make decisions about which raw materials to use and which cotton standards to support, so it’s important that myBMP has been recognised in this way,” Cotton Australia’s Cotton to Market Project Lead, Brooke Summers says.

“We’re working with influential organisations like the Textile Exchange to find areas of common ground where we can support each other to improve demand for sustainable cotton across the board,” Ms Summers says.
